Spanish Elementary 3
Spanish Elementary 3 is designed for students who have completed Elementary 2 or can describe present and recent experiences using the present and present perfect tenses.

Entry requirements
Completion of Spanish Elementary 2 or demonstration of suitable level of Spanish.
Course units
On this courses you will cover:
- Writing or talking about your life story
- Describing past trips or vacations
- Talking about the weekend and activities you did
- Recalling childhood memories and routines
- Sharing stories and experiences in sequence
- Talk about past trips and travel experiences
- Give a short biography of yourself or someone else
- Describe what you did last weekend
- Talk about your childhood and past habits
- Tell simple stories and share memories
Grammar in Focus:
- Preterite tense
- Imperfect tense
- Contrast between preterite and imperfect
- Review of ser and estar in the past
- Time markers
- Story connectors
Assessments
There are no formal assessments, students will be awarded with a York College certificate upon completion.

Study methods
The course will be delivered in College and will be taught with a focus on listening, understanding and speaking, with some reading and writing.

Students have access to a fantastic range of College-wide facilities such as the Learning & Research Centre, study hubs, computer areas with accompanying multi-function printers and helpdesk advice.

All materials are provided for you to complete the course. However, some courses may require additional study from home, you may need access to a PC/laptop and suitable Wi-Fi to access teaching and learning. You will be made aware of any additional study time at the time of enrolment.
