2027 will mark our 200-year anniversary. Since our origins back in 1827, we have grown to become the largest further education college in the region, offering the widest choice of courses. Some of our former students may not recognise the College as it is today. Our current campus was entirely rebuilt in 2007 during a £60 million redevelopment programme – meaning we combine nearly 200 years of experience with the very best, modern facilities. So what better time than now to (re)connect with our former students?

Provide work placement opportunities
As part of our Alumni Community, you can give back by offering our current students the chance to gain real-world experience in their field of study. This can be either an apprenticeship or a work placement as part of their T Level or vocational course.
Become a mentor
Your experience and advice can help our students’ personal development and professional growth. By becoming a mentor, you can guide students through challenges, offer career advice and help them set achievable goals.
Be a guest speaker
Inspire and motivate our current students by sharing your professional story and expertise. As a guest speaker, you can discuss your career, challenges, industry trends and success stories during a workshop, presentation or careers’ event.
Take part in employer speed interviews
Give our students the chance to practise answering interview questions linked to our Brilliant Futures Pledge by taking part in mock speed interviewing and giving them meaningful feedback.
