Entry requirements
Completion of Spanish Lower Intermediate 2 or demonstration of suitable level of Spanish.

Topics and Vocabulary:
- Careers, work experience, and professional plans
- Education and lifelong learning
- Environment and sustainability
- Technology and society
- Living and working abroad
Grammar in Focus:
- Future tense and conditional tense
- Introduction to present subjunctive (functional use)
- Cause and consequence structures (por eso, debido a)
- Expressing advantages and disadvantages
Assessments
There are no formal assessments required as part of this course, students will be awarded with a York College certificate upon completion.

Study methods
The course will be delivered in College and will be taught with a focus on listening, understanding and speaking, with some reading and writing.
Facilities
Students have access to a fantastic range of College-wide facilities such as the Learning & Research Centre, study hubs, computer areas with accompanying multi-function printers and helpdesk advice.

All materials are provided for you to complete the course. However, some courses may require additional study from home, you may need access to a PC/laptop and suitable Wi-Fi to access teaching and learning. You will be made aware of any additional study time at the time of enrolment.
Course progression
Students who successfully complete this course may progress to Spanish –Intermediate 1 if there is sufficient demand.
