This course is for learners who have already completed Beginners 3, foundation GCSE, or have a suitable level of Italian.

Course units
What You’ll Learn:
- Describing and comparing clothes
- Expressing doubt, tastes and opinions
- Giving advice
- Talking about personal memories
- Describing daily routines in the past (what you used to do)
- Making suggestions and expressing what you would like to do
Grammar Focus:
- Imperatives (commands) in the ‘tu’ form
- Use of the imperfect tense
- The conditional tense
Assessments
There are no formal assessments required as part of this course, students will be awarded with a York College certificate upon completion.

Study methods
This is a classroom-based course and will be taught with a focus on listening, understanding and speaking with an introduction to reading and writing.

Additional costs
All materials are provided for you to complete the course. However, some courses may require additional study from home, you may need access to a PC/laptop and suitable Wi-Fi to access teaching and learning. You will be made aware of any additional study time at the time of enrolment.
Course progression
Students who successfully complete this course may progress on to Elementary 2.
