Discover a new hobby or passion at our Adult Summer Showcase

Fancy learning how to bake the perfect cupcake or maybe you’re ready for a new hobby – like pottery, jewellery making or digital photography.

Perhaps you also feel it’s the right time that you learned British Sign Language or you’re thinking of pursuing a new trade or just want to sharpen up your DIY carpentry, plumbing and painting and decorating skills.

If any of the above appeal to you, or you would like to experience a three-to-four hour taster session in the other adult courses provided at York College & University Centre, then we strongly advise booking a place on our Adult Summer Showcase, which is being held at our Sim Balk Lane campus on Saturday, July 1 from 9am-1.30pm.

In addition to what has already been mentioned, we are also staging introductions to printmaking, welding, bricklaying, computer-aided design, bread baking, practical biology and the art of being a chocolatier.

The cost includes a breakfast item and drink on arrival, so please come along if you are in the mood to embrace lifelong learning and meet like-minded individuals while discovering new skills and passions.
