Summer Adult Showcase - Introduction to British Sign Language
This fun course is suitable for complete beginners of British Sign Language (BSL), or those with some basic knowledge who are looking to improve their understanding.
Overview
You will learn to understand and use a limited range of simple words and sentences, take part in simple, everyday conversations, give and follow simple directions or instructions and give and follow simple familiar statements or descriptions in BSL.

Our students have access to a fantastic range of College-wide facilities such as the Learning & Research Centre, study hubs, computer areas with accompanying multi-function printers and helpdesk advice.

Course progression
You could progress on to BSL British Sign Language Signature Level 1 Award (Unit 1 - Term 1) in September 2023.
If you complete the full Signature course, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge in basic sign language to help you progress and develop in a number of job opportunities to suit your personal needs and interests
