Summer Adult Showcase - Introduction to Practical Biology
The course is aimed at people who are considering studying GCSE Biology.
However, it is also suitable for people who have an interest in biology and would like to learn more about practical work in biology and develop some practical skills.
If you have been out of education and are considering studying science, this course will aim to give you the confidence to return to study.
Overview
The aim of the course is to build confidence in practical, biological lab work.
You will have the opportunity to conduct a range of biological experiments. This will include biological tests, use of microscopes, respiration of yeast etc.

However, it is also suitable for people who have an interest in biology and would like to learn more about practical work in biology and develop some practical skills.
Facilities
We offer a number of excellent lab facilities, allowing students to undertake practical experiments.
Students have access to a fantastic range of College-wide facilities such as the Learning & Research Centre, study hubs, computer areas with accompanying multi-function printers and helpdesk advice.
