What you'll cover
This interactive workshop gives participants a behind-the-scenes look at how professional recordings are made.
A local band will be recorded live during the session while participants observe and learn about the recording process.
The session will explore microphone placement, capturing instruments and vocals, and how producers shape performances in the studio.
Participants will see how engineers and producers work with musicians to create high-quality recordings, and will gain an understanding of how modern recording studios operate.
No previous experience is required. This session is suitable for musicians, music fans, or anyone curious about how music is recorded.
Facilities
Students have access to a fantastic range of College-wide facilities such as the Learning & Research Centre, study hubs, computer areas with accompanying multi-function printers and helpdesk advice.
This workshop will take place in our state-of-the-art recording studios.
