This course is suitable for people who have either attended an introductory Excel course or have a working knowledge of Excel functions that they wish to build on.

This course is delivered over 1 day from 9.30am to 4.30pm

Building Spreadsheets

  • Introduction, Outline & Objectives
  • Functions and Formulae - Entering and Copying Formulae, Searching for Functions
  • Naming Ranges - Creating Named Ranges, Using Names in Movement, Inserting Names in Formulae
  • Formatting - Number Formatting, Cell Styles, Copying and Clearing formatting

Printing and Charting

  • Printing - Setting up the Print Area, Previewing and Print Settings, [Page Layout] Choices
  • Page Breaks - Inserting and Removing Page Breaks, Page Break Preview, Repeating Page Titles, Page Layout View
  • Charting - Chart Types, Creating Charts, Customising Charts, [Design] options, [Layout] options, [Format] options

  • Conditional Formatting - Adding Rules, Modifying Rules, Date Driven Formatting
  • Input Cells - Entering percentage Cells, Absolute ($) cell references
