There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but students must have an interest and passion for cookery and want to learn more.

Join our master Chef, Graham Fyfe, for a culinary tour of Italy.

During this 5-week course, Graham will guide you through the process of recreating favourite Italian dishes. Following demonstrations from Graham, you will work in our training kitchen to prepare delicious Italian meals. Graham will give hints and tips on how to recreate the perfect dish at home with your friends and family.

At the end of the session, you will take home what you have produced to enjoy.

Any dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances can be accommodated within the recipes. Please contact Graham directly at gfyfe@yorkcollege.ac.uk to discuss any specific requirements.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but students must have an interest and want to learn more.

Course units

Over the course of this 5-week course you will learn to prepare and cook a range of Italian meals.

Taking place in our professional standard training kitchens, our master Chef, Graham Fyfe, will work with you to build your confidence and skills to prepare Italian meals to share with your friends and family.

Course progression

After this course you could undertake any of the other York College Cookery School classes for your enjoyment.

If you were interested in gaining a formal qualification in catering, our tutors would be able to advise on suitable routes that are available on a full or part time basis.

Study methods

This course is a practical, hands-on course and students will learn in a friendly and professional kitchen, under the guidance of expert chef, Graham Fyfe.

Here at York College we have state-of-the-art training kitchens and a superb training restaurant, The Cookery.
