Architectural Joinery City & Guilds Extended Technical Level 2
An Architectural Level 2 Joiner is a skilled tradesperson specialising in the manufacture of timber-based building components. Working primarily in a workshop, they produce a variety of architectural products such as doors, windows, staircases, and bespoke furniture. These components are then transported to construction sites for installation.
Architectural Level 2 Joiners are responsible for interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure that their work meets the required standards and client expectations. They use a range of tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials with precision. Their role involves setting out and marking materials, as well as manufacturing and finishing products to a high standard.
In their daily work, Architectural Level 2 Joiners collaborate with other construction professionals, including site carpenters, bricklayers and designers, to ensure seamless integration of their components into the overall building project.
