York College celebrates the Coronation

Bedecked in bunting made by our students, York College & University Centre kicked off the Coronation celebrations in style yesterday afternoon.

Ahead of King Charles’ crowning ceremony at Westminster Abbey today, students and staff mingled in the Atrium and took snaps in our Pop-Up Photo Booth - complete with Royal-themed props - where special edition Coronation chocolates were also dished out.

A Progression Afternoon Tea, meanwhile, saw Further Education students mark the occasion in traditional style, enjoying a free scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam as they learned more about our Higher Education provision in the University Centre.

Please feel free to tag our social media platforms if you’d like to share any great images you captured yesterday and we hope that everybody enjoys another bank holiday weekend before we see you back on campus next week.
