Travel & Tourism BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3
Our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Travel & Tourism is designed for individuals seeking to elevate their knowledge and skills within the industry. This two year programme includes two mandatory external exams, and a range of assessments that are designed to enhance your presentation, customer service and supervisory skills; all of which are important when working in the travel and tourism industry.
We work closely with travel and tourism organisations who support your learning through guest speakers, visits and involvement in our annual travel and tourism conference. We also have a designated travel room to enhance your learning experience.
Entry requirements
A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects at grade 4 including Maths and English.

Additional costs
All courses within Travel & Tourism have a uniform requirement for offsite visits. Information regarding uniform will be provided at enrolment.
Method of delivery
Attendance is full-time and your studies will be across three full days. This will mainly be classroom based, however we encourage immersive learning that includes visits, events, role play, presentations and other related activities.
Our methods of delivery will include focused learning and formal teaching sessions, accompanied by workshops, tutorials, some independent studies and problem solving.
How will I be assessed?
Written assignments, exams, roleplays, presentations, professional discussion and panel interview.
Good course combinations
This is a full-time course. It is not possible to combine this course with other Vocational, T Level, Apprenticeship or A Level programmes.
Your next steps
Students who achieve this qualification could progress to higher education to study tourism, business, events, aviation or hospitality management qualifications, with a large number of students also progressing into employment and apprenticeship opportunities with employers across the tourism sector. Past students have secured employment with TUI, Jet2, LNER and Eastern Airways.
