Start your journey in the world of travel and tourism with our Level 2 Extended Certificate. This course includes six exciting units, giving you an insight into this amazing industry.                                                              

The course offers the perfect blend of practical experience through role play as well as classroom learning, giving you the skills, confidence and qualification needed to thrive in the travel and tourism industry. We deliver our programme alongside industry experts who support us through guest speakers and visits to develop a broad understanding of employment within the industry. Alongside this we have a designated travel room to enhance the learning experience. 

Entry requirements

A minimum of 4 GCSE subjects at grade 3 including English and Maths.

What will I study?

This qualification covers topics such as:

  • The UK Travel and Tourism Industry
  • Promotion in Travel & Tourism
  • Travel Agency Operations
  • Hospitality in Travel & Tourism
  • Know about airports and airlines

There is also the option to take part in a range of trips and residential visits during the course which are designed to support the topics being studied. 

Method of delivery

Attendance is full-time and your studies will be across three full days per week. These will be mainly classroom based but you will also learn via experiential learning that include events organisation, activities, role plays and related activities.

How will I be assessed?

This qualification is a portfolio-based qualification. Internally assessed, you are required to create a portfolio of evidence that demonstrated achievement of 100% of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit.

Good course combinations

This is a full-time course. It is not possible to combine this course with other Vocational, Apprenticeship or A Level programmes.

Your next steps
