There are no formal entry requirements, but learners must be aged 19+.
Course units
Would you like to build confidence, meet new people and increase your literacy and social skills? Come and join us for our ‘Read & Relax’ short stories course.
Each week you will explore a short story over tea, coffee and refreshments in the comfort of our university centre, led by an experienced English Literature tutor.
A different short story will be explored each week. All materials will be provided.

This course is free for those earning under £35,000 who live in York, North Yorkshire or West Yorkshire.

Students will learn in a friendly, face-to-face classroom environment.
