Public Services Certificate Level 2
The BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Public Services provides a firm base from which you can understand core knowledge, skills and behaviours common amongst all uniformed professionals that serve. Both theory-based lessons and work-related learning combine to prepare you for the next steps.
Entry requirements
A minimum of 3 GCSE subjects at grade 3 with GCSE English and Maths one at grade 3 and one at grade 4.
What will I study?
The Level 2 Certificate covers key modules in understanding the role and work of the public services; working skills in the public services sector, crime and its effects on society; and health, fitness and lifestyle for the Public Services.
Method of delivery
The course includes a mix of theory and practical units which you will be studying in The Athletic Suite and Sports Hall, and on the 3G pitch, as well as in classrooms and computer rooms.
How will I be assessed?
You will evidence your skills, knowledge and understanding through an evidence-based portfolio. Evidence will consist of worksheets, posters, assignments, observation, witness testimonies and case studies.
Good course combinations
This is a full-time course. It is not possible to combine this course with other Vocational, T Level, Apprenticeship or A Level programmes.
Your next steps
You can progress on to a number of pathways within the Sports curriculum area including the Level 3 Uniformed Protective Services, Level 3 Sports Coaching or Level 3 Esports course.
