Pathway for Sports, Esports & Public Services Level 1
This qualification aims to help support your personal development through acquiring skills and knowledge in sport, exercise and fitness. The qualification also allows you to gain personal transferable skills (also relating to Esports) that can be applied to the workplace or further study.
Entry requirements
A minimum of 3 GCSE subjects at grade 2.
What will I study?
This course is predominantly a practical-based course. This means that the majority of your learning will take place across classrooms, our state-of-the-art gymnasium, sports hall and 3G pitch. You’ll be expected to complete theoretical knowledge through homework activities and directed learning, although some theory work will also be embedded into practical sessions. Tests and assignments will also be used to check and test your knowledge and understanding. A variety of enrichment activities will be scheduled throughout the year to help prepare you for progression and employment.
Method of delivery
This course blends theory and practical, to see you build a baseline proficiency across sporting knowledge, skills and behaviours. A variety of enrichment activities will be scheduled throughout the year to help prepare you for progression and employment. You will also take part in organising a sports event to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding.
How will I be assessed?
Throughout the course, you will collate a portfolio of evidence towards Learning Outcomes. You will also take part in practical assessments designed to demonstrate your skills and knowledge acquired throughout the course.
Good course combinations
This is a full-time course. It is not possible to combine this course with other Vocational, T Level, Apprenticeship or A Level programmes.
