TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism
The purpose of this qualification is to develop your knowledge and understanding of autism and how to support individuals with autism to live healthy and fulfilled lives using a person-centred approach.
This level 3 course is a great way for anyone who currently works with autistic people, is looking to work with or simply knows someone who is autistic to increase their knowledge about the condition and how it can affect the ways in which people communicate, interact and process information. You will develop a deeper understanding of how you can best help and guide those living with autism and the support and legislation available to them.

Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, however, learners should have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. It might also be beneficial for the learner to have completed the TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism course.

Core units for this online qualification include:
- Autism and behaviour
- Legislation, guidance, information and support relevant to autism
- Living with autism in society
- Understand best practice in the context of autism
- Understand the diagnosis and management of autism

All materials are provided for you to complete the course. However, you will need access to a PC/laptop and suitable Wi-Fi to access teaching and learning.

Total qualification time: 152 hours.

Most students over the age of 19 will be able to study these courses for free, however, please contact us if you’re aged 19-23 and do not yet have a full Level 2 qualification (five GCSEs grade 9-4/A*-C, NVQ Level 2 or higher) as additional eligibility criteria may apply.
