TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Safe Handling of Medication in Health and Social Care
This course will develop your knowledge and understanding of how to administer, store, dispose of and process medicines safely. It is intended to prepare you with the initial core skills in this subject to prepare you for further learning or training to enhance your knowledge and allow you to progress within your employment, or enter employment in a relevant field.
You will gain an insight into different types of medication available and what they are used for. You will also develop an understanding of prescriptions and how to ensure that record keeping and audits are completed correctly and effectively and within the remits of required legislation.

Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, however, learners should have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

- Logistical Aspects of Handling Medicines
- Understand How to Administer and Support Individuals to Self-administer Medication

All materials are provided for you to complete the course. However, you will need access to a PC/laptop and suitable Wi-Fi to access teaching and learning.
