Each Year we host five Open Events and two Year 11 Taster Days. These events provide a great chance to visit the College and find out about all options available after Year 11.
We hold Taster Days for Year 11 students in January. These days are an opportunity for students in Year 11 to come and experience a day at York College and try some of the exciting subjects that we offer.
Our bookings for the Year 11 Taster Days on Tuesday 13th January and Thursday 15th January 2026 have now closed.
If you have submitted a booking and we have been able to allocate you a place you will receive an email from us by the end of Monday 15th December 2025. This will tell you all you need to know for your visit to us and have your timetable for the day attached as a PDF document. Check your email junk folder in case it’s gone in there. If you still can’t find it, email info4schools@yorkcollege.ac.uk and we’ll check for you.

If you were unable to make a booking, we haven’t been able to allocate you a place, or you are unable to attend, please don’t worry. We still have lots of opportunities for you to find a course to study with us in September, including our upcoming open events:
