Acting for Beginners: Develop Confidence Through Acting
This course will build skills and confidence and allow learners to develop confidence and social skills through acting.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, although enthusiasm and commitment are essential. Some experience of working creatively and being practical and ready to be experimental will be a bonus with professional development advice.
Course units
This course will build skills and confidence and allow learners to develop confidence and social skills through acting.
Although the course does not have units you you will study a number of different areas such as; Analysing a Script, Developing Characters, Vocal and Physical Skill, Communication Skills and Audition Technique.
Assessments
There is no formal completion qualification and students will be able to work at their own pace. The course provides space, scripts and direction for students to explore and develop characters and performance skills.

Completion of this course can help students to progress on to various other Performance & production courses available at York College & University Centre.
