The course is designed to help absolute novices to get to grips with IT. Maybe you want to help your children with their homework, or maybe you want to be a bit more confident registering for services, using email and apps. This course introduces you to basic concepts by exploring presentation software and how to use digital technologies in general.

Students have access to a fantastic range of College-wide facilities such as the Learning & Research Centre, study hubs, computer areas with accompanying multi-function printers and helpdesk advice.

Additional costs

All materials are provided for you to complete the course. However, this course requires additional study from home, you will need access to a PC/laptop and suitable Wi-Fi to access teaching and learning.

The course is delivered through a combination of classroom learning and independent work online.

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to develop your digital skills for personal use, which you could also apply in the workplace.
