Cookery School: One-Day Pasta Masterclass
Join our Head Chef Gio Achenza for a master class in producing the quintessentially Italian dish.
During this one-day cooking class, Gio will guide you through understanding and producing white and egg pasta doughs before working with you to prepare and cook a range of simple and more complex pasta shapes.
In the morning students will enjoy demonstrations from Gio and then work in our training kitchen to prepare and shape the pasta dough before cooking their own pasta to enjoy at lunch in Ashfields restaurant.
In the afternoon, students will develop their skills further to produce coloured and flavoured pasta as well as speciality stuffed pasta such as culurgiones, which you will be able to take home to enjoy or share with friends and family.

Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but students must have an interest and passion for cookery and want to learn more.
Course units
On this one-day course, you will learn to prepare a range of white and egg pasta doughs before working with our Head Chef, Gio, to prepare and cook a range of simple and more complex pasta shape.
Taking place in our professional standard training kitchens, our Head Chef will work with you to build your confidence and skills to prepare the staple food of Italy for you to enjoy and to share with your friends and family.

Course progression
After this course you could undertake any of the York College Cookery School classes for your enjoyment.
If you were interested in gaining a formal qualification in catering, our tutors would be able to advise on suitable routes that are available on a full or part time basis.
