Welcome!

For those who have applied to study with us this September, we wanted to share some information on enrolment:

Higher Education (foundation degrees/degrees/HNCs) and Post Level 3 Foundation Art enrolment will take place on Wednesday 20th August.

Apprenticeship enrolment and Access to HE enrolment will take place on Thursday 21st August.

Main enrolment will take place between Friday 22nd – Friday 29th August excluding the weekend and bank holiday.

Please note: We will contact you in early August with a specific date and time to attend.

All students joining York College & University Centre in September 2025 will be sent an enrolment slot to attend in early August.

When you receive this slot, if you cannot make it or have not yet applied to the College but would like to join us, please come to one of our enrolment drop-in sessions. Details of these will be shared soon.

Enrolment will take approximately 1 hour to complete and it is very important that you attend.

How long will enrolment last?

It should be approximately an hour, however this will depend on your personal circumstances (entry requirements met; change of course; unsure of which subjects etc.)

Can my parent/guardian accompany me?

We request that you attend your enrolment appointment by yourself as this will reduce congestion in the College. However, we understand that there may be some circumstances where you need the support of someone with you, and therefore you may bring one additional adult with you.

I’ve changed my mind about the course I’d like to do

That’s absolutely fine – please still attend your appointment and there will be a team of Progress Coaches to assist you. Please allow a little extra time to give you the correct advice and guidance.

I haven’t got any proof of qualifications

Don’t worry – we can search on the Personal Learner Record and print any qualifications out that are showing. If they are not there, still attend your enrolment appointment and we can pre-enrol you (finalising your enrolment at a later date). Please note that 16-18 year olds without proof of GCSE English/Maths will be enrolled to re-sit these courses – but these will be cancelled on receipt of proof of qualifications.

I didn’t get the grades I need to do the course I applied for

Don’t worry – you may still be able to do the course you applied for, but there will also be other course options for you and we will help you find the most suitable. Attend your appointment and the tutor will discuss all your options with you

I’ve not applied yet, is it too late?

You do not need to apply. Simply pop along to our drop-in sessions. Please allow a little extra time to give you the correct advice and guidance.
