A crash course in the craft of writing, and the shock news is... it's easy.

On average, we spend 13 years of our lives in front of a screen, so we already have an intimate knowledge of the landscape. It's just a case of unpacking all that dormant knowledge and putting it to use. It really is that simple. If you can talk, you can write. If you've seen one boring film, then you know what to avoid. The rest is just craft.

In this warm, witty, and welcoming course you will learn the screenwriters’ trade from a former BAFTA Screenplay Judge. Award-winning writer Rob Young spent 20 years writing for the UK's biggest film and TV companies, including the BBC, Channel 4, Sony, Aardman, Baby Cow and Working Title Fims. He will pass on his 'tips and tricks' and guide you through the process. By the end of the course, you will have written the blueprint for your own Hollywood movie and crucially, know what to with it.

Non-writers welcome. Come and build confidence, working as part of a group to think creatively and share ideas.

Assessments
