Charlie applied to study this T Level course due to it’s broad range of content and the routes into the professional and technical side of the construction industry. It was his industry placement that helped him to decide which route he wanted to follow.

“I’ve always quite liked buildings but, when I came to College, it opened me up to liking them even more, and when I started coming on placement, that opened me up to what actually happens in the architectural industry and what the job involves. I came to College with kind of an idea of what I wanted to do and the course and placement helped me become more sure of what I wanted to do.”

Charlie took the knowledge and skills he’d learnt at College and put them into practice in the workplace, developing his skills with the support of his employer. Having demonstrated his workplace potential the company then offered Charlie employment on completion of his course. He combines working for them two days a week whilst studying his four year BArch (Hons) degree in Architecture.
