Entry Requirements

Some previous knowledge of Spanish is essential. The course is suitable for students who have completed the first year courses or those who can “get by” in everyday conversation.

Day: Wednesdays

Course Content

The course is designed to help you develop and improve the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. The topics include:

  • Getting to know people
  • Talking about your routine
  • Shopping for clothes
  • Describing a home
  • Asking the way & following directions
  • Lost property
  • Talking about going on holiday and past holidays
  • Saying how you're feeling & describing symptoms
  • Eating out
  • Talking about the weather

Teaching Method(s)

The emphasis is on practical communication.

The course consists mainly of classroom tuition.

Exams and Assessments

Regular in-course assessment and homework tasks will enable learners to monitor their progress and this will be reviewed by the tutor. There is no external assessment. The emphasis is on having fun while learning and using the language to communicate.

Qualification(s)

There is no formal qualification for this course. Students will receive a College Certificate of Attendance to show they have attended.

Progression

Students who successfully complete Continuers 1 will be able to progress to Continuers 2 later in the year. Students who successfully complete both Continuers courses could progress to the Advanced courses the following year.

Course Fees

The cost of this course is £200 for each 10 week block.
