Who is this course aimed at?

This is for anyone interested in vegetarian plant based cookery. This course can introduce you to some new kitchen skills and help you be more adventurous with plant based foods. Sweet and savoury options are available to cover a variety of tastes.


An introduction to plant based cookery and ingredients to promote a healthier diet and introduce vibrant ingredients and with tips to produce exciting dishes that will help disease reversal, weight loss and renewed vitality.

Entry Requirements

  • An interest in developing knowledge and skills in producing vegetarian dishes
  • Students will also require the following equipment: apron and non-slip shoes

Course Length

10 weeks.

Course Modules/units

This course is a part-time class where students will develop their plant based knowledge and cookery skills. The class is suitable for complete beginners or for those that want to brush up or explore and further their cookery techniques.

Students will learn to prepare and cook (a range of):

  • Plant based vegan recipes
  • Appetizers (dips, salsas, tapas & savouries mini cakes)
  • Main dishes (vegan curries, pies, vegetables tangines & tetrazzini)
  • Snacks (chia oats, carrot choc cookies, panelle, blueberry lemon bars)
  • Desserts (spicy molasses bars, chocolate hummus, avocado choc mousse, black bean brownie)

Teaching Method(s)

This is a practical hand-on course. Students will learn in a fun and relaxing atmosphere in a well-equipped commercial kitchen. Class sizes also ensure one-to-one attention. In each class students will learn all the tricks of the trade, get to practice the techniques shown and go home with new-found skills.


No assessment involved but you will receive on going feedback from your chef tutor.



Additional Costs

All equipment required for the classes will be provided. Ingredients for the course can be provided at basic cost or brought in yourself.
