The Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Multi-Skill General Engineering feeds directly into the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Multi-Skill General Engineering course. This qualification provides opportunities for learners to apply their knowledge and practical skills in the workplace. Full-time learners have the opportunity to do this through formal work placements or part-time employment experience.
Successful completion of a HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
This course has been developed to combine theory and practical work to focus on the requirements of industry. You will develop knowledge and skills in engineering that will allow you to make positive contributions to employers and to progress effectively throughout your career.
The course combines a variety of teaching approaches including lectures, assignment work, programming tasks and lab work. Assessment is by assignment work, which includes calculations, lab work, circuit/system simulations, programming, research and investigations.
