Business correspondence, on-line information and emails projects a company’s professionalism and helps gain both external and internal customer confidence in both your product and service.  Getting the right, well written and timely message across with appropriate pitch, tone and language is an industry essential tool. 

Commercial English provides easy understanding in all the key areas along with a helpful tool-kit to support grammar and punctuation plus tips and techniques for producing concise writing in plain English.  Additionally key phrases, vocabulary and spelling (words not picked up spell check) are all included in this short comprehensive guide on improving written skills and confidence in a professional capacity.

Reports, statements, letters, emails (formats and rules for formal and informal writing)

Upskilling and using appropriate vocabulary and language

Applying correct pitch and tone according to purpose and audience

Techniques in avoiding pitfalls and prioritising

Writing appropriate, and timely, responses

Spelling, punctuation and grammar

Develop confidence applying correct grammar in writing

Understand and use a range of punctuation to support meaning in correspondence

Techniques to avoid spelling errors, especially around company/organisation key words and phrases

There will be a mix of presentations, discussions, enjoyable exercises and opportunities for skills practice during the session.
