Businesses build success on reputation – the two go hand in hand. PR has had a ‘bad press’ in the past but never has it been more relevant in an age of ‘fake news’ and falling consumer trust.

This course outlines what PR is really about and how it can impact on a business’s bottom-line.

Step by step, the course will go through the key benefits of PR, with practical examples from real campaigns and case studies.

Students will learn about:

  • The key components to writing a good PR strategy
  • What makes a good story; one that will be heard
  • Reaching the right people with the right message
  • The impact of digital and social media platforms and how to use them
  • The dos and don’ts (the best and worst PR!)
  • Making the case for using PR in their business

An interactive course, students will work in small groups to develop their own PR strategy and then report back to the wider group.

There will also be an opportunity for discussion and questions.
