Creative Media Production - Game Development pathway, which includes educational as well as recreational gaming, is a growth area within the Digital Technologies sector that has been identified in the government's strategy for the digital economy as a key area for development. The HNC in Creative Media Production - Game Development will help you to develop the relevant skills and understanding required for a successful career in the creative media industry. Delivering this course over two days per week, topics covered include; research and design and the creation of graphics, animation and 3D games engines.
Standard Entry: A Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Creative Media Production – Game Development.
Non-standard entry: Applicants who have relevant skills and experience but who do not hold the standard minimum entry requirements will be considered.
This course is delivered over two days per week, allowing for independent study and other work/ life commitments. With an aim to ensure spare time is maximised and a good study/life balance is achieved whilst you study for your qualification.

Each unit is assessed through a series of assignment briefs that together build to a final portfolio of work. All assignment work will be assessed by the course tutors and collectively this will lead to a final grade.
Successful completion of the HND in Creative Media Production – Game Development will enable you to enrol on to the final year of a full-time or part-time degree or employment.
