One and two year courses.

What will I study?

Students on this programme will study towards a Diploma in Business. The course is equivalent to 3 AS Levels over one year for the Level 3 Diploma. After successful completion of this year it is possible to continue onto a second year to gain the Extended Diploma qualification, which is equivalent to 3 A Levels. This course would be suitable for anyone interested in studying business at university or a higher level, or taking on a leadership or management role in any industry.

  • Managing an Event
  • International Business
  • Principles of Management
  • Business Decision Making

During the second year of the programme there is the opportunity to follow a pathway of studies in one of the following areas:

  • Logistics
  • Management
  • Business Law

How will I be assessed?

There will be a combination of assessment styles for students to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and understanding in a range of work-related contexts. All work is internally assessed and externally moderated.

What could it lead to?

Progression from this course would include higher education, higher apprenticeships or employment. A wide range of business roles in areas such as retail, administration, legal and finance are possible for students completing the course as well as leadership and management roles in a variety of public and private sector organisations.
