Who is this course aimed at?

This course is for beginners and intermediate level.


Getting ready for summer

This 2 day workshop will help and enable you to create a half circle skirt pattern from your own measurements. You will pattern, toile and then create your own made to measure half circle skirt.

We will provide the pattern paper and calico to toile to test the fit- all you require is the material you would like your skirt to be made out of ( 2-3m of fabric) and a closed ended zip measuring at least 8inches long. You will be shown how to attach and make a waistband, the construction of a skirt, Inserting a zip and finishing off the garment edge 'hemming'.

Entry Requirements

An interest in Art, Craft, Sewing and Dressmaking is essential.

Sat 6th July 2019 and Sat 13th July 2019, 10-4pm.

2 days.

Course Content

Dressmaking is an exciting and popular craft. This Summer school is for individuals to utilise their interest in dressmaking and to provide a route to further studies.
