Who is this course aimed at?
No previous experience is required; the course caters for all abilities and will enable students to learn how to pursue their interest in photography and image manipulation. While the course will provide additional knowledge relating to digital photography, it will concentrate on the use of the market leading image editing software ‘Photoshop’. The knowledge and skills gained on this course can also be applied to other similar software programmes; allowing the learner to get more control and enjoyment out of their own photography/image making.
The ‘Digital Photoshop’ course is a great way to improve your understanding and get to grips with the use of image editing software. The course uses ‘Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Bridge’ using tutorials produced by the tutor, alternatively you may be asked to carry out a photographic task to produce specific images which will then be used in class the following week. All tutorials have a detailed illustrated document (.pdf). Initially the course will cover basic skills and techniques but will progress on to more advanced functions/tools/techniques. The course will allow you to develop your interest in photography and image manipulation.
Enthusiasm and commitment along with regular attendance is essential. Anyone can enrol; the course is open to people with previous experience and qualifications in other Art, Photography or Creative Media courses.
