Students on this course will learn how to serve and taste a range of wines with a particular focus on broadening horizons with an introduction to New World Wines.
This course provides the opportunity for learners to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills select, serve and most importantly enjoy a range of wines and will cover the following;
- Selecting the correct stemware
- Appellations and labelling
- How to taste wines
- Purchasing the correct wines for you
Who is this course aimed at?
This course is aimed at those with an interest in wine who want to broaden their horizons and learn how to serve and taste wines.
Facilities
We have a range of great facilities for our hospitality students, such as professional training kitchens and Ashfields, our on-site restaurant.
At York College our students have access to a fantastic range of College-wide facilities such as the Learning & Research Centre, study hubs, computer areas with accompanying multi-function printers and helpdesk advice.
