Overview

This course is for adult learners who hope to work in early years/educational settings, supporting children and young people to learn and progress, both developmentally and academically.

There will be chance to take part in a range of activities to explain and demonstrate the role of the Practitioner/Teaching Assistant can have in supporting children to learn and progress. You will look at activities to enhance fine motor skills, beginning of learning phonics, learning to read and maths interventions.

This course is for adult learners who hope to work in early years/educational settings, supporting children and young people to learn and progress, both developmentally and academically.

At York College our students have access to a fantastic range of College-wide facilities such as the Learning & Research Centre, study hubs, computer areas with accompanying multi-function printers and helpdesk advice.
