Super Saturday Adult Taster - Introduction to Leadership & Management
This course is not going to be providing a ‘how to’ of leadership styles, but rather looking at the skills and techniques that can be used to improve our management and leadership influence and therefore our teams’ performance. We will look at getting the best form ourselves in order to get the best from others.
Overview
In all organisations, managers and leaders’ time is spread very thin. The job is important, leaders have big responsibilities and so we rush and fire fight to ensure that we are available to lead every minute of every day. We keep a finger in every pie to ensure we know about everything, keep tabs on what is happening, when and by who – it can seem insurmountable. Especially to new and aspiring leaders. So how can we balance it all?
This course is not going to be providing a ‘how to’ of leadership styles, but rather looking at the skills and techniques that can be used to improve our management and leadership influence and therefore our teams’ performance. - Control and Authority
- Followership
- Authenticity and Charisma
This session will focus on sharing ideas, problems, good practice and looking at relevant theory to inform your decision making/practices/approaches to gaining influence for the purposes of leadership and management.
