This course is aimed at those who want to explore their creativity and learn more about pattern cutting techniques.

Overview

This offers a basic introduction to core pattern cutting skills, leading you to be able to create your own patterns/garments in future.

Using mini blocks and examples shown, you will explore how to adapt a sleeve block e.g. short sleeve, long sleeve, flared sleeves.

Who is this course aimed at?

This course is aimed at those interested in learning about pattern cutting. This offers a basic introduction to core pattern cutting skills, leading you to be able to create your own patterns/garments in future.

Facilities

York College has a purpose-built sewing workshop and dedicated sewing studio to enhance learning.

At York College our students have access to a fantastic range of College-wide facilities such as the Learning & Research Centre, study hubs, computer areas with accompanying multi-function printers and helpdesk advice.
