Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills [Campus@Northallerton]
The course is comprised of five units that together provide excellent IT skills development for the workplace. The course covers the use of a range of practical applications to improve workplace productivity whilst focussing on the use of spreadsheet software and addressing how to work safely securely in the modern online world.

Who is this course aimed at
The suite of ITQ qualifications aims to equip individuals with the IT user skills needed for full participation in employment and society. This course aims to build on existing IT skills in preparing learners for the modern, digital workplace. The suite of ITQ qualifications recognises employers’ needs for ICT qualifications that reflect real-world skills, and the challenges of work-place learning. This course is either a stand alone or a progression for students who have already completed the Award. Following completion of the Certificate progression is to the Diploma.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, a good understanding of IT or completion of the Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills is preferred. Students on this course are to be 19+ in age.

Method of delivery
The course will be taught from our campus in Northallerton and is primarily taught as a classroom-based course but there may be occasions when a more blended approach utilising virtual lessons is used. Lessons offer a balance of knowledge and skills-based learning utilising industry standard hardware and software. Students are advised that to successfully complete the course they should have access to an up to date, internet enabled PC at home.
How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed using a portfolio of evidence with students achieving a pass if successful.
