Higher National Certificate (HNC) Business
The qualification is suitable for anyone hoping to gain a solid academic foundation in business or management and is aimed at students who would like a good knowledge of all business aspects.
Students could be school leavers or could be currently employed in any sector so long as they have an interest in how businesses run, and aspirations to progress a career in management.
Completion of this course would improve job prospects in Business sector and also allows progression onto degree programmes.

32 UCAS tariff points. Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or A Levels. Applicants with significant relevant prior learning and experience may be considered.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment for each unit takes place using a mix of methods including; essays, reports, presentations, exams and research projects. There will be up to two assignments in each unit and assessments will be spread over the year.

Method of delivery
This is a classroom-based course. Teaching will primarily include lectures, seminars and workshops. There will be a requirement for students to engage with online resources over the duration of the course and you will need to undertake independent study outside of taught sessions.

Your next steps
Successful completion of the HNC Business will enable you to enrol on the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business with a view to completing a full degree programme in the longer term.
Many professional bodies also recognise the HNC for further professional study.
