This session will feature a selection of practical problem solving activities and cybersecurity games aimed at getting students thinking about the wide range of skills required in the world of cybersecurity.
Our Foundation Degree Digital Technologies (Cybersecurity) is a great first step in a cybersecurity career, covering the fundamentals of information security, legislation, programming (C# and Java)), database (SQL), and web design. Along with professionalism, the psychology of cybersecurity and an individual research project, it provides a well-rounded experience assessed through a combination of reports, practical activity and two conventional exams (to prepare students for their next levels of study and professional development).
Scheduled over two full days per week, this two-year, full-time course offers the benefits of part-time study, allowing students to work up to three days per week alongside their studies (two semesters of 15 weeks per academic year).

Facilities
The Cybersecurity base room is located in the Institute of Technology hub, where students have access to our custom designed, virtual cybersecurity lab. Here students can explore networking technologies, such as Microsoft Active Directory and Pen Testing, with a range of tools embedded in Kali Linux.
