Higher Education Takeover - Acting for Stage & Screen

This taster session is for those interested in studying BA (Hons) Acting for Stage & Screen.

In this session, you will work as a group to practice various scenes, which will culminate in a performance, filmed and edited by the Film & Professional Practice taster session students.

The BA Acting for Stage and Screen degree is a professional actor training programme delivered in partnership with the York Theatre Royal and Screen Yorkshire. Students experience an intense, full-time immersion in the craft of acting for theatre, screen and audio. Training actors are guided by a dedicated team of experienced current professional actors and practitioners in the field of voice, movement, acting, direction and professional development.

Students also participate regularly in a range of workshops with professional performers throughout their training. Preparation for a career as an actor is a key aspect of this degree. Professional work placements, location film projects and performing in professional venues are just some of the key features of our unique two year accelerated course which delivers exceptional standards of training for an affordable cost.

This course is aimed at those interested in studying BA (Hons) Acting for Stage & Screen.

It will interest aspiring actors who would like to be immersed in the craft of acting for theatre, screen and audio.

Learning will take place in rehearsal studios, theatre spaces, film and media suites and on work placements. The BA (Hons) Acting for Stage and Screen is a highly practical course which is taught face-to-face through rehearsal, workshops, seminars, tutorials, work experience placements and masterclasses.

This course will allow you to take part in a fun, practical activity, enabling you to explore your creativity in our professional facilities, providing you with a flavour of our exciting BA (Hons) Acting for Stage & Screen degree.
