Digital Media Production Introductory Diploma Level 1
With a keen interest in creative and interactive media, you will work on projects using a wider range of exciting and emerging technologies.
Entry requirements
3 or 4 GCSE subjects at grade 2, ideally including English and Maths. Students with no formal qualifications will be assessed before enrolment. You must have a keen interest in creative and interactive media.
What will I study?
You will complete nine units over the year which include:
- Interactive Media
- Multimedia
- Video
- Animation
- Digital Photography
- Website Software
- Exploring Career Opportunities in Creative/Digital Media
You will use iPads in most of your units.
Students who have not yet achieved a grade 4 at GCSE in Maths and English will continue studying both of these subjects alongside the course.
Method of delivery
You will typically be in College three or four days per week. In-College delivery is supported by online resources, and students develop strong independent learning skills to equip them for their next steps.
How will I be assessed?
The Diploma is assessed at a Pass grade through the completion of internal assignments. There are no exams.
Good course combinations
This is a full-time course. It is not possible to combine this course with other Vocational, Apprenticeship or A Level programmes.
Your next steps
On successful completion of the course, you may progress to the Level 2 Extended Certificate in Information and Creative Technologies or an equivalent pathway.
