Construction Operations - General Construction City & Guilds Certificate Level 2
This course is suitable if you want to work as a General Construction Operator in the construction sector. It enables you to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or a career as a General Construction Operative.
To be successful on this course, you need to have good timekeeping, attendance and the ability to research and study independently.
3 or 4 subjects at grade 3 ideally including English and Maths.

- Lay Domestic Drainage
- Construct Foundations, Slabs and Paths in Concrete
Method of delivery
This programme will be delivered in our modern workshops and classrooms, focusing on developing your practical skills, knowledge and professional behaviours ready for assessment. All assessments will be carried out in accordance with awarding body guidelines. To prepare you prior to your assessments, we will build up your skills, knowledge and behaviours to give you the best chance of achieving your potential. We will sequence the curriculum deliver to meet industry needs and work with you through each step to build your confidence.
How will I be assessed?
Practical and theory work will be assessed in line with awarding body requirements. This will be a mixture of online externally set and marked examinations and practical synoptic assessments.
Good course combinations
This is a full-time course. It is not possible to combine this course with other Vocational, Apprenticeship or A Level programmes.
