York College Intensive Personal Advisers work with students who have personal needs or are in vulnerable categories which put them at risk of leaving college.

In light of the Corona Virus, appointments to meet with intensive Personal Advisers are cancelled for this week. Whilst College remains open, advice and signposting can still be offered via text/phone on 07971 235096 or via email:

York College Intensive Personal Advisers work with students who are facing various problems and barriers which means they are at risk of leaving college. This includes students who have family and financial problems, are sofa surfing, potentially homeless or are already living independently. Students who are pregnant, young parents, young carers, care leavers, those with learning difficulties, substance misuse issues or a mixture of the above.
One to one support from the college Intensive Personal Advisers enables students to address issues and access internal or external specialist support.
