Students will be advised either by text message or letter that their certificates are ready for collection.
Students must arrange for collection of the certificates from the examinations office. Identification must be shown before the release of any certificates.
A third party can collect on behalf of the student but they must have written permission from the student and identification for themselves and for the student.
If a student cannot collect and requires the certificate to be posted a charge of £5.00 must be paid at the finance department prior to postage.
These will be posted via recorded delivery. If the student is not present when the certificate is delivered a card will be post by royal mail and the certificate must be collected from their sorting office.
Failure to collect may result in the certificate being returned to the college and a further charge will be incurred.
York College cannot order replacement certificates if you have misplaced your original certificates. To order replacements please contact the awarding organisation directly. There is usually a charge for this service. If you do not remember what awarding organisation or your candidate number / registration number, contact the Exams Office and we may be able to help you.
If you have received a certificate and your personal details (name, date of birth) are incorrect, or you believe the grade is wrong, please contact the Exams Office as soon as possible. You will have to return the original certificate to be securely destroyed before any amended certificates can be issued.
