York College Exam Results

The Exams Office cannot give results out over the phone.

Results Day

A Level Results Day will be held from 7:30am on Thursday 13th August 2020

GCSE Results Day will be held from 9:00am on Thursday 20th August 2020

Results cannot be released before these dates.

There is no formal results day for on-demand or vocational students – usually your tutor will contact you directly with your results. If you have not received your results as expected from an on-demand or vocational exam, please contact your tutor.

Students who do not attend results days will have their results slip posted out to their home address by 3pm. Please make sure the College has your up to date address!

Collecting Results

You must bring photographic ID to collect results. This could be your York College ID Card, a driving licence, or passport. Students who do not bring photographic ID may not be able to collect their results.

Collecting Results on Behalf of a Student

Parents/guardians or friends can collect results on behalf of a student only by following this procedure:

  1. The student must give written permission that explicitly names the person who will collect their results. This can be done by the student emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. from their student email address, or by giving the Exams Office a signed letter.
  2. The person collecting results must have photographic ID of themselves.
  3. The person collecting results must bring the students college ID with them.
