Information about how to obtain a York College bus pass

Important info: Please check the zone you are travelling to and from on the timetable on this web page and double check on the info available when you purchase your pass. Please do not use the small cards given out at enrolment as some of these are incorrect. Thank you.

You can now purchase annual and monthly passes from the online shop.

You can also now purchase daily bus tickets via the online shop as well as the ticket machine in the Atrium.

You can purchase a monthly bus pass at a discount of 5% or an annual bus pass at a discount of 15%.

To apply for your bus pass or ticket online, click on the link via the York College Website, Online Shop (can be found at the top of the homepage)

You will need to sign in by using your York College email address (the email address given to you by college which looks like this: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and password. Your password should have been given to you with your email address at enrolment.

If you have forgotten your password click on the “Have you forgotten your password?” link and follow the instructions. A new password will be sent to you by email.

Once you have entered your email and password, click on login now.

You will need to choose whether you want a monthly or annual bus pass or a daily ticket.

There will be a link to the Guidelines and Terms & conditions. Please read these before using the college bus. You can also find these lower down on this travel page.

Now you will need to choose the option right for you based on the number of days a week you are in college (which can be found on your lesson timetable) and the zone you are travelling to (this can be found on the bus timetable on this web page and there will be list of stops available to view for each pass when you log in. Please check your stop is on there before purchasing). Please check this rather than use the little pocket size timetable given to you at enrolment.

It is very important that you choose the correct bus pass. Checks will be carried out to make sure the correct bus passes have been purchased by students and refunds can’t be given for incorrectly purchased bus passes.

Once added to your basket you can now press the next stage button at the bottom of the screen. Check that the details are correct.  Press proceed. Then you will be directed to payment. Enter your payment details.

Once completed, an email will be sent to your phone with the receipt of payment.

Another email will then be sent to your phone with your bus pass attached. Please keep this safe as this is what you will show to the driver to enable you to access the coach.

Your bus pass and receipt will be sent to your personal email address which you have registered on the college system.

Please be advised that if you choose to use single tickets purchased from the Atrium then your first journey in to college on your first morning will be free. You will then have to purchase your single tickets from the ticket machine when you get to college. You can buy in bulk if preferred and use them when you need them.

It might be an idea to have a couple of single tickets even if you choose to have a monthly or yearly pass in case you lose your phone or you have no battery charge on your phone.

Please note you cannot use last year’s tickets in the new academic year.

You will need your college I.D. when boarding the college coaches
