Pilot Theatre, the UK’s leading theatre company for young people, is running a new documentary film project called Eighteen about what it’s like to turn 18 in 2018 in the UK. They will be exploring the different meanings to becoming an adult and the hopes, fears, dream and limitations that imposes.
They are looking for participants who are happy to discuss this and other aspects of their lives on camera. The course is run by multi award-winning screenwriter, Kefi Chadwick and York-based theatre director and practitioner, Paula Clark and is based at the Pilot Theatre offices in York. They are actively seeking participants from more diverse backgrounds. BAME young people, people who have disabilities, those who are leaving education at 18 or are currently excluded from education for any reason, people from non-traditional family units and people from different cultural backgrounds.
These stories are hugely underrepresented and we’d like to bring them to the foreground. No experience neccassery.
